    Aria Tian

    Aria Tian is the head of the China Research Unit at Rouse, responsible for the daily operation and maintenance of CIELA.

    Aria obtained her LLB and LLM from Wuhan University Law School and Renmin University respectively, with a PRC bar qualification. Before joining Rouse in 2011, she had worked for an airline company, several top European, US, and Chinese law firms, with rich experiences covering legal fields of corporate, securities, finance and tax, energy, employment, and more.

    Aria is leading CRU to conduct various IP related research, including but not limited to data mining and legal practice analysis, the latest trends of technology and products, innovations & commercial events, and industrial information as well as the potential impacts.

    Chris Bailey

    Chris is an Executive with Rouse in China. He has supervised the development of the CIELA database from conception to launch.

    Chris has managed IP protection and enforcement programmes in China for many major rights owners and is head of new business initiatives for Rouse.

    Chris has a BA in Chinese from Oxford University and an MBA from Kellogg-HKUST and an LLM in Intellectual Property from the University of Edinburgh.

    Tim Smith

    Tim is an Executive and Deputy Head of Dispute Resolution in China. He is now overseeing the progress of CIELA and coordinating the second phase of development.

    Tim advises major rights owners on enforcement in China, specialising in complex and high profile litigation. He oversees all Rouse’s civil litigation in China.

    Tim is a qualified solicitor in England & Wales. He also has a Post Graduate Diploma in UK, US and EU Copyright from Kings College, University of London (Distinction), as well as a Post Graduate Diploma in Intellectual Property Law & Practice and a BSc in Mathematics, both from the University of Bristol.

    Nigel Wong

    Nigel is a consultant in Rouse's Technology Information Services team. He assisted in the redevelopment of CIELA and is constantly looking for new innovative ways to combine CIELA with other IP information to assess technology risks and opportunities.

    Nigel has a Ba. Applied Finance, Macquarie University and previously worked in performance improvement at Colonial First State in Australia. Nigel also studied a Masters in Intellectual Capital Management at Chalmers University in Sweden.

    Ke Hua

    In Rouse & Co. International LLP, Ke Hua takes office in China Research Unit (CRU), mainly responsible for inputting data of CIELA database.

    Before joining Rouse, Ke Hua worked for China International Clothing & Textile Network Company, in charge of the collection, production, editing and inputting of various information and pictures.
